Cantina del Glicine – Barbaresco

Adriana Marzi and Roberto Bruno run Cantina del Glicine (www.cantinadelglicine.it), one of Barbaresco’s most historical wine estates. Renowned for its XVII century subterranean cellars, Cantina del Glicine lies in the centre of Neive, one of the three municipalities that constitute the Barbaresco Docg (along with Treiso and Barbaresco).
All the estate vineyards insist in Neive as well, with Currà and Marcorino as top-quality single-vineyards dedicated to Nebbiolo-da-Barbaresco production. In addition to Barbaresco, Cantina del Glicine also grows Dolcetto, Barbera, Arneis and Moscato Canelli.
The vinification protocol is thoroughly traditional and based on long macerations, ambient yeasts, medium/small casks of Slavonia oak, minimal stabilization and filtration. The resulting wines, from Dolcetto to Barbaresco, bring to consumers a most natural and authentic rendition of the classic wines from Langhe / Piedmont.
