Val Delle Corti

Val delle Corti – Chianti Classico

Roberto Bianchi and his wife founded Val delle Corti in 1971, when Chianti Classico was an abandoned rural area years away from the variety lights of today’s wine market. The cellar is in Radda in Chianti, right up the prized Motevertine estate, in one of Chianti Classico’s highest vine sites, 550 mt altitude asl.

It was in fact Martino Manetti of Montevertine who recommended us his vineyard neighbor Val delle Corti! The Radda in Chianti terroir is stony and compact, classic ‘Alberese’ soil composed of shale, schist and limestone. Chianti Classico from Radda has long been praised for its delicate finesse and radiant fragrance, due to a mix of intense luminosity, cool nights and stony ‘Alberese’ soil.

Val delle Corti offers a brightly traditional, unadulterated rendition of Chianti Classico and Chianti Classico Riserva from the prized Radda in Chianti terroir, made entirely from the native Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Colorino grapes.
